Interpretation services

Conference interpreters are trained to offer any of these services and adapt to any changes in order to switch from one mode to another as circumstances require.

As conference interpreters, we convert one spoken language into another, but we do much more than translating the words; in outstanding interpretation services, such as the ones we offer, concepts and ideas are transmitted from one language to another, going beyond mechanical literalness to faithfully convey the original message. With all its nuances, in the appropriate register, with the ideal vocabulary, at the desired pace. In a good interpretation, the interpreters will make the speaker's discourse their own in order to express it faithfully in their language.

Interpreting – Simultaneous Translation

We specialize in simultaneous interpretation (a.k.a. simultaneous translation), a field in which we have extensive experience, which has been recognized by being appointed as the official providers of the simultaneous interpretation service for the Valencia Conference Center since March 2017. As such, we organize the various teams of interpreters needed in all required language combinations such as English, French, Chinese, Russian, German, Italian, etc. Our coordinator, Adela Ibáñez, is in charge of this service.

Consecutive Interpreting

Unlike the immediacy of simultaneous interpreting, consecutive interpreting begins only when the speaker has finished verbalizing a fragment of their speech. The interpreter, who generally takes notes, then begins with the interpretation of that fragment. When finished, it moves on to the next fragment. This type of interpretation does not require any specific sound equipment and can be used for both large audiences and face-to-face meetings. Keep in mind that the duration of a speech doubles when the interpreter has to intervene.

Whispered interpreting or chuchotage

Whispered interpreting is a mode of simultaneous interpreting. The interpreter is located next to the person for whom they have to interpret, or the small group of people, and whispers the translation of the intervention. It does not require specific sound equipment. Whispered interpreting is used in circumstances in which the majority of a group speaks the language of the speech, and a minority (ideally no more than three people) does not speak it. It is extremely useful in attending international meetings in which the person attending does not know, or does not master, the language of the meeting, and there are several parties at the meeting. With this modality, it is not necessary to constantly interrupt the meeting for the interpreter's interventions, since the interpreter whispers what is being said to their client. And, in turn, they can interpret any intervention that their client wants to make.

Liaison Interpreting

It is frequently used in business meetings and in other situations involving a small group of people. No sound equipment is required. We highlight the translator service for notarial acts. We have several interpreters with extensive experience in interpreting in notaries. We know the vocabulary well and often work on the formalization of public deeds: sale of real estate, incorporation of companies, mortgages, inheritances, etc. Ask us for a quote.

In an increasingly globalized world, remote simultaneous interpretation has become an essential tool to facilitate communication in international conferences, seminars and meetings.
